The “Vartoviy K9” dog body armor is a modular ballistic protection system for service and working dogs, developed by practicing dog handlers in collaboration with veterinary specialists. The ballistic package, made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), provides protection in accordance with DSTU 8782:2018 (Class 1): it stops 9×18 PM/APS and 9×19 Luger bullets and provides fragmentation protection in accordance with STANAG 2920 (V50).

Ergonomics and Anatomy
